Biswa Kalyan Rath

Biswa Kalyan Rath is an Indian stand-up comedian and actor who gained widespread recognition with his YouTube comedy series, Pretentious Movie Reviews, which he co-hosted with fellow comedian Kanan Gill. Prior to pursuing a career in comedy, Biswa was an IIT graduate who worked in the IT industry in various roles, including software development, marketing, and graphic design. However, after meeting Kanan at an open mic event in Bangalore in 2013, Biswa decided to pursue his passion for comedy full-time. He has since become a popular figure in the stand-up comedy scene in India, with regular appearances at comedy clubs across the country and several OTT releases. In addition to stand-up comedy, Biswa has also co-hosted the YouTube Fan-Fest India 2015 and is one of the main personalities behind the Comedy Hunt on YouTube. He is known for his unique Hindi-Bengali accent and for creating humor out of ordinary everyday situations, which makes him particularly popular with younger audiences. Biswa is also credited with creating the critically acclaimed Amazon Prime web series “Laakhon Mein Ek.” In recent years, he has been married to Indian television and film actress Sulagna Panigrahi.
