Comedians On Board (COB) was one of the most popular events in the world of chess, organized for the 6th edition by Samay Raina. Breaking away from its traditional online format, COB6 was held LIVE in person for the first time. This exciting event brought together 8 of the strongest chess-playing stand-up comedians who battled it out for the title of the first-ever Comedians Over the Board Champion and a total prize fund of Rs. 5,00,000. COB6 was an intense knockout event, featuring best-of-2 matches with a time control of 10 minutes + 5 seconds increment. In case of a 1-1 draw, an Armageddon match was played with a time control of 5 minutes for white and 4 minutes for black, with draw odds. This format applied to both the Quarter Finals and Semi-Finals. The Finals, on the other hand, saw four games instead of two, making it even more thrilling. The event took place on the 4th of November, starting from 5 p.m. This historic event was a nail-biting battle as the talented comedians demonstrated their chess prowess over the board.
