Appurv Gupta

Appurv Gupta is a highly skilled engineer who has also established a successful career as a stand-up comedian. He is known for his humorous take on middle class Indian culture and family life, which he portrays through his popular character, Gupta Ji. Some of his most popular acts include “GuptaJi Ki Aeroplane Wali Journey” and “Apple, Micromax & Patli Pin wala charger.”

In addition to performing at college festivals and corporate events, Gupta has also made numerous appearances at Toastmasters Club and has written and starred in three solo shows: “Appurview,” “RelationShip Or RelationShit,” and “Laugh with an Engineer 2.0.” These shows have gained a significant online following, with over 10 million views on social media.

Gupta’s “Appurview – Laugh with an Engineer” act, in which he provides a comedic perspective on the life of an engineer, has been particularly well-received. In 2014, he was ranked as one of the top 20 Indian stand-up comedians by CNN-IBN and was shortlisted for the Forbes India 100 Celebrity nominees list in 2015.
