Sumaira Shaikh

Sumaira Shaikh is a multifaceted artist from the Dongri neighborhood in Mumbai, India. She initially pursued a career in psychology, earning a degree in the field and working as a counselor. However, she eventually decided to follow her passion for comedy and content creation. Sumaira has honed her craft through performances at open mic nights and collaborations with well-known comedy collectives such as All India Bakchod (AIB) and Son of Abish. In addition to stand-up comedy, she has also written for popular television series such as Pushpavalli on Amazon Prime and Beauty and the Feast on Hotstar. She is currently working on several other projects and serves as the script supervisor for Sumukhi Suresh’s YouTube series, Behti Naak. When she’s not busy with work, Sumaira enjoys watching wildlife documentaries and savoring her mother’s delicious cooking. In 2022, she released her first stand-up special, titled ‘Dongri Danger’.
